Mirco Welding

Small parts welding - a resistance welding process with its own distinctive features

Lower currents (many applications I ≤ 1, 5 kA)

Small pressure forces of up to 600 N (precision heads 10, 20 or 50 N)

Steel welding as well as welding of non-ferrous metals

Various processes with different electrode arrangements

No standard electrodes – neither from the form nor from the material

The position of the weld nuggets can be influenced by the electrode shapes

Different electrode materials (not only CuCrZr)

The small welding parts are 90% projection welds

With short welding times, the liquid phase is not reached – no pronounced weld nugget

Materials

Based on the physical properties (electric and thermal conductivity, smelting and boiling temperature) and the area of application, a distinction will be drawn between:

Construction materials

• Conductor materials

• Resistance and heating conductor materials

• Contact materials

• Magnetic materials

• Thermostatic bimetals

• Spring materials

• Metal glass fusion group

• Sinter metals

Harms & Wende QST offers control technology systems for the micro joining technology. As specialists in resistance welding controllers, we offer solutions, which are tailored to the particular requirements of these joining tasks.

The portfolio includes welding controllers from 50 Hz to 10 kHz. These take into account the special requirements, with regard to the regulation. The very short reaction and control times as well as the different types of current control are especially tailored to these requirements.

When it comes to automated installations, we offer engineering services, for the integration of the controller in the superordinate system. We provide solutions for integrating the user interface into the higher-level PLC.

More secure joining with customized monitoring and documentation functions.

Extensive monitoring functions are available in diverse configuration stages. From parameter to process monitoring, we offer a wide range of quality monitoring services, in order to ensure the quality of your welding task and to document it.
